Located oceanfront in the center tower of Bay Watch Resort & Conference Center is the Blue Room Café. Here, patrons can take in a beautiful oceanfront sunrise while enjoying a fully loaded breakfast buffet. The café is open for dinner seasonally, and has been known to serve a typical menu of chicken, steak, and seafood.
Recently, the Blue Room closed its doors for an extensive remodel. For those familiar with the restaurant, the center divider has been removed, as well as the entire bar area. The resulting look is fresh and spacious. Add new paint and carpet and the outcome is a bright, clean, open and inviting space. A private dining area has also been added that seats up to 24, and is perfect for meetings and private events.
Not all of the changes are purely cosmetic. The remodeled buffet line, now wider and more spacious, allows for a better flow when guests line up to fill their plates, and provides additional counter space for more breakfast items. A self-serve waffle station has also been added to the breakfast buffet. Alongside these changes, announcements of a new executive chef and revamped dinner menu are expected, but not yet confirmed. Bay Watch Resort General Manager, Alan Peterson, and Food and Beverage Director, Michael Lackey, are remaining tight-lipped in regards to the possibility of a new concept, allowing suspense to build in the meantime.
